Near record highs for some locations in the state of iowa for October 12th. mid to upper 80s will be quite common. 
the weather pattern will get somewhat active for locations south of hWY30 in Iowa. isolated severe storms could be possible. the more organized storms might produce hail/wind. then widespread rain for locations starting as early as tuesday night. eastern iowa could see the rain a day later. big pattern change for the state as we will see our first frost/freeze Friday night state wide. overnight temps expected to be in the 30s
